Arkansas Circus Arts is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist. Our studio values include kindness, integrity, empathy, community, creativity, excellence, trust, and fun. We are seeking a candidate to join our family friendly and close knit community. The ideal candidate must be able to be professional while also friendly, warm, and inviting. Candidates must be able to work in an environment that can be loud and filled with the squeals and laughter of children and adults.

 

Total hours will be 10-20 hours per week depending on skills and season. Candidate will need to commit to 3 shifts a week in the studio (M-F:afternoons/evenings , Sat: anytime- depending on season and schedule of gym Sun: morning/afternoon). Opportunity for growth and expansion of the job, hours and responsibilities as the business grows.

 

The Day to Day - What You’ll Be Doing Exactly

  • General housekeeping/cleaning duties.

  • Answer inquiries that come through via  phone, email, text messaging, fb messaging, IG messaging, and in-person in the lobby. 

  • Give studio tours to new clients.

  • Monitor the email box, delete SPAM and respond to all emails or forward them to the appropriate person

  • Assist clients with booking private lessons, private parties, and enrolling in classes.

  • Communicate with teaching staff for schedule availability

  • Customer Service Champion - monitor attendance, call clients

  • Charge customer accounts and take payment

  • Participate in studio trainings as needed

  • Attend Staff Meetings

  • Self-Motivated and Excellent Direction-Taker - When it’s busy, you know how to prioritize the most important tasks and how to think on your feet.You also understand there is always something that can be done even when all the required tasks are completed. You pride yourself in your ability to take direction and deliver the desired results. 

  • Excellent Communication Skills - You are able to eloquently express the values and benefits of our services and get customers excited about it. You understand the nuances of constant communication, and can handle even the most challenging situations with professionalism and warmth. You’re also committed to keeping your supervisor “in the know” about your progress. (No one has to ever chase you down!)

  • Personal Responsibility - If you make a mistake, you take 100% responsibility and fast action to remedy the situation.

  • Customer Empathy - Imagining yourself in the customer’s shoes, you respond with empathy and have an ability to not take grumpy or tense emails/calls/interactions personally. You see yourself as a bridge between company needs and customer needs. You know when it’s appropriate to be friendly and accommodating and when to be firm. 

  • Teamwork - You can work and collaborate with other team members on getting the job done and are able to mediate any conflicts within the team.
