Join the amazing Katie Sunshine in this foundational workshop designed specifically for absolute beginners or those who may have some experience but are basically new to hooping.
This one-time session introduces the basic mechanics of waist hooping and essential off-body manipulation. Students will learn how hoop size, posture, and core pacing affect the physics of the hoop. The class covers fundamental techniques for keeping the hoop spinning, recovering a dropping hoop, and transitioning the hoop into the hands for basic tricks.
No prior experience is necessary. Please bring a hoop if you own one, and ACA will have hoops to borrow. Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing to prevent the hoop from catching on loose fabric!

Join acclaimed hoop artist, Katie Sunshine, to learn some Intermediate Hoop Tricks! This is is designed for hoopers who have mastered basic hooping foundations and are ready to expand their movement vocabulary. This workshop focuses on vertical and horizontal transitions, off-body dexterity, and introducing multi-planar movements.
This session is ideal for students looking to move past the basics and begin developing their own flow style. If you have your own hoop, please bring it with you; otherwise, ACA will have a few to share.

Inversion Technique is a focused workshop dedicated to the mechanics, strength, and body awareness required to invert in the air. Designed for students of all levels, this session breaks down the pathways to upside-down positioning on aerial apparatuses. Beginners will learn the foundational engagements and progressions needed to achieve their first clean inversion.
Experienced students will focus on refinement, energy efficiency, and breaking habituated momentum to build a more sustainable practice. Participants will work through targeted floor prep, conditioning drills, and spotted on-apparatus progressions.
